Strawberry Faire Regulations
ALL APPLICANTS will be reviewed and approved by the Strawberry Fair Committee. Applications will not be processed without application, fees, and electrical fees (as required). Spaces will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis, with Hanover County groups given concession booth priority before groups from elsewhere. If for any reason your application is not accepted, you will be notified and the fees refunded.
APRIL 15 – deadline for applications and fees. After April 15th an additional processing fee will be added and placement cannot be guaranteed.

Non-Profit Organizations |
10′x10′ Booth Space – FREE For non-profits who are providing information only, and not selling or taking in money of any kind. |
| 10′x20′ Booth Space – $75 For non-profits who are selling anything, collecting money, and whose organization is doing all of the work (i.e. food, etc.). |

Non-Profit with Professional Food Vendor |
10′x20′ Booth Space – $250 For non-profits using a commercial vendor to prepare food. Volunteers from the non-profit are required to participate in the work of the booth and a percentage of the profits must be donated to a non-profit organization. |
Arts and Crafts |
10′x10′ Booth Space – $75.00 Arts and craft vendors who wish to sell handmade items in the ARTS AND CRAFT ALLEYS or antiques in ANTIQUE SATELLITE at Ashland Town Square. |
Businesses |
10′x10′ Booth Space – $75.00 For Ashland / Hanover businesses who wish to ADVERTISE their product or services, absolutely NO sales in ASHLAND ALLEY Alley or the HANOVER HOME-SHOW parts of the Faire. |

DUPLICATES of Food or Activities – the Committee cannot prevent duplication of activities. The large attendance generally compensates for duplicates.
BOOTH LOCATIONS shall be determined by the Committee. If you note your preference in the Application, we will try to accommodate.
ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDE their own tables, tents, etc. necessary for booth activities.
ACCESS PASSES will be issued for vehicle access. Access is restricted to setup (Friday 12 noon to Saturday 8am) and take down (Saturday 5pm to 7pm). Vehicles are not permitted access to the Faire grounds from 8 am to 5 pm Saturday.
PARKING PASSES will be issued for and entertainers.
HEALTH PERMITS will be required for the sale of foods. Please call the health department at 365-4343 for a temporary permit application. All applications must be submitted to the Health Department 10 WORKING DAYS or 2 WEEKS prior to the Faire. Food vendors must be available for inspection of their equipment by the Health Inspector between 7 and 9 am on the day of the Faire.
FIRE MARSHALL INSPECTION Read this important Memo from the Hanover Fire Marshall about requirements for Cooking Tents, Canopies and Membrane Structures. Food vendors must be available for inspection of their site by the fire marshal at 5pm on Friday before the Faire.
ELECTRICITY FOR FOOD VENDORS ONLY can be arranged by the Faire for a base fee of $100 for 120v/20amp or 240/30amp. Vendors are required to supply all cords for hook up in our 200 AMP panel (12 gauge wire or more) and grounding prongs on electrical appliances that comply with manufacturers recommendations. Silent Generator only are allowed at the Faire, due to noise and space limitations.
TRASH/RECYCLING - To facilitate cleanup, each group shall delegate one person to be responsible for periodic policing of the grounds during and after the Faire hours. Groups will be responsible for providing their own trash cans. Take your trash to the town dumpsters and recycling containers throughout the day. Please help us make this a green faire.
BUILDING PERMITS NOT REQUIRED, however each group shall be responsible for the removal of any structure built by the organization for Faire.
NO carnival rides, NO riding bikes, or NO skateboards on the Faire site.
DOGS are allow as long as they are controlled on a leash at all times. Note, there will be large crowds and various other animals. SPCA and BARK will be on site if you are interested in adoption.
SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS about the Faire are welcome, please submit them in writing.
STRAWBERRIES - Booths selling strawberry food are highly recommended and encouraged.
Food judges will be sampling STRAWBERRY FOOD AND BEVERAGES the morning of the Faire. Prizes will be awarded in the following amounts:
