How long has the Ashland Strawberry Faire been around?
Since 1982 — that’s over 40 years of community and family fun! And every year the Faire continues to grow as we add new events, performances, and cultivate the best vendors we can find to celebrate the Strawberry Harvest. Since that time the Faire has given over $100,000 and lots of memories to our community.
What happens if it rains the day of the Faire, or it is over 100 degrees?
We all still have fun! Dress appropriately and bring what you need to stay comfortable and hydrated.
Where are the trolley stops?
We have 4 Trolley stops. TROLLEY LOCATIONS
Are strollers allowed on the trolleys?
Yes. Foldable strollers are best.
How large is the Faire?
There have been estimates of 20 – 30 and even 40 thousand people who attend the Strawberry Faire each year. There are more than 300 booths offering outstanding food, quality arts and crafts, and information about the wonderful businesses and non-profit organizations in Hanover County.
What kinds of vendors come to the Faire?
For many years, the vendors have been made up of about 60% arts and crafts, 15% non-profit groups, 15% businesses, and 10% other (politicians, etc.)
Are dogs allowed at the Faire?
Yes, but please be nice to your dog. Keep in mind – leash laws, weather, walking on hot blacktop, water, parking off campus, crowds of people, and other dogs. We like dogs so much… you can come and adopt one! Shade and water is available for our furry friends at the BARKing Lot.
Are bikes and skateboards allowed?
Due to the large crowds, bikes and skateboards are not permitted on the Faire site.
